Ex international Adepoju urge Eagles to prepare for tougher challenges ahead

Former Super Eagles player Mutiu Adepoju has urged the players of Nigeria’s senior national team not to drop the anchor yet because the challenge will naturally become tougher as the team gets closer to the final of the AFCON.

Adepoju speaking in a chat with Cornerstonenewsng.comsaid the team should simply have at the back of their mind that the challenge won’t come less irrespective of whoever emerges as Nigeria’s semifinal opponent between Ivory Coast and Algeria.
“I don’t have any preference because as the game proceeds, things keep getting tougher and it’s still going go be tough but I believe in our players, they can do it.
“For them to have gotten to this stage, they can get to the final and whichever team comes, it’s not going to be easy, it’s going to be much tougher because any team that gets to the semi-final want to play and get into the final as well. So we have to put a hundred percent effort.”
