Super Falcons midfielder Osarenoma Igbinovia has stated that the 15-0 win recorded by the Nigeria women national team is a confidence booster after the Super Falcons netted 20 goals in two games against Burkina Faso and the Niger Republic.
Igbinovia speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the result against Niger republic is unprecedented and an exciting development which set the team well on track to take on any opponent in the tournament.
She also added that the Super Falcons will do well to win the WAFU women’s cup of Nation having sent fear already to everyone with the results gotten in two games.
“It’s a good development anyway and we are all happy. It will build our confidence and bring out the best in us. We showed them that we wanted to play. Hopefully, we do our best to win the WAFU cup.”
Nigeria’s Super Falcons next face Mali in her final group stage game at the WAFU cup on Tuesday.
