FC Ifeanyi Ubah boss Okagbue insists his team is still work in progress

FC Ifeanyi Ubah coach Uche Okagbue says his team is still a work in progress in spite of their impressive start into the 2019 Nigeria professional football league season where they are yet to taste defeat after five games.

The Anambra warriors are the surprise team so far this season topping Group B table with impressive 11 points and best defensive record In the league after 5 games.

While speaking on the impressive runs, Okagbue said the team is still work in progress and stressed that they aren’t carried away by the good results.

“My team is still work in progress, we recruited young players that are hungry to play from amateur clubs after losing 90% of our players this year,”

“Though we are not carried away with our performance, instead we will continue to work harder to get points  home and away matches by the special grace of God.”

The coach added that the boys are hungry to make names for themselves after many had thought that the Club would struggle to perform this season after the exodus of influential players during the transfer window.

“The boys are hungry to make name for themselves and I told them the importance of playing at this level,”

“We will keep working on our part as technical crews.”

FC Ifeayin Ubah will take on Abia Warriors on the 3rd of February in the matchday six of the 2019 Nigeria professional football league.
