First Choice Leasing boss, Diji bags PINK CEO of the Year

For his sterling accomplishments in the leasing industry in Nigeria, the PINK Awards has conferred the prestigious Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Year prize on the Managing Director of First Choice Leasing, Chief Michael Diji.

 

According to the organizers, Diji was awarded for promoting the business of leasing and adding value to the industry in Nigeria.

He was commended for serving as role model to young people in business in Africa, taking an effective and vigorous leadership role in the community, making significant contributions in their specific fields of endeavor and displaying exceptional character.

This is the second professional accolade coming to the leasing magnate, Michael Diji.

While commending the organizers, Diji said it was a fulfilling experience for him and his company with the honour, which cements his over 2 decades in leasing and allied business.

He said, “It is a fulfilling experience for me because at First Choice, we are customer-centered as we believe in satisfying our teeming customers and our efforts are paying off.

“We got incorporated in October 2010 and for our individual or corporate clients, we offer car rental services, training, recruitment,

“First Choice Leasing Limited is a top class and wholly owned Nigerian Equipment Leasing and Financial Intermediation Firm incorporated in 2010 to fill identified gaps in credit risk management among others.

The former banker, who has leveraged on his many year’s experiences, skill and expertise in the banking sector, said he brought it to bear in the leasing company.

He said, “Leasing is a profitable sector that can curb unemployment but the government is not paying adequate attention to the sector.

“I urge the government to start paying attention to the leasing industry. Already we have the laws put in place that guide all that we do.  So, now, more than ever, we need the government to partner us.”

Meanwhile, other awardees include the governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, his wife and his deputy.
