Former Lagos CP ,Arabamen dies

Former Commissioner of Police,Mr Young Arabemen is dead.He died in his sleep at the age of 72.

Arabamen was former Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) during the time of Musiliu Smith as the Inspector -General of Police.He was later posted to Lagos as the Commissioner of Police where he made impact until he retired from the police force.

After he retired as the commissioner of Police,he was employed by the former Lagos state Governor, Amed Tinubu ,as the Chief Executive Officer of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LATSMA) an office which he held for many years until he was relieved of the office by the present Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

Arabamen died a peaceful death in his sleep.Arabamen was described by many police officers who worked under him as an honest man who told the truth as it was.

A senior Police officer who DSP Kenneth Uzor, said :” I worked with him at the Force Headquarters ,Abuja.He was a kind hearted man who did not show tribalism. He treated every one as his own.He took the police as one family. He will be missed by many who knew him,because, he operated open door policy. Even while he was in LATSMA,he replicated who he did in Abuja.

” He was accessible, kind,but he told the truth as it was really was.He was a clean and clear mind .He loved every one and he was very generous. He was very passionate about the police force ,even when he was no more in the force as he defended the force with his last breath.
