Former Reading defender Sam Sodje calls for Nigeria’s ‘defensive coach’

Former Nigeria international Sam Sodje has said the Super Eagles should get a defensive coach to work with Gernot Rohr if they want to excel at the 2019 AFCON tournament holding in Egypt.

The former Portsmouth and Charlton defender said while speaking with www.brila.net live from Asaba after watching the Eagles play in the dead rubber clash against Seychelles.

“From my experience as a defender playing for the national team and many club sides, it’s always good to have a defensive coach”.

“It’s high time we stopped blaming players, and get the best coach to manage the individual talents we have in the team” Sodje told brila.net.
