The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two suspects who allegedly kidnapped a two- years -old girl in Mountain of Fire and Miracle Church, Agege, Lagos.
Police public relations officer ( PPRO ) DSP Bala Elkana told Cornerstone News that : ” Today being at about 0800hours, acting on a credible intelligence, the Divisional Police Officer, Igando Police Station, CSP Taiwo Kasumu led his plain clothes surveillance men on the trail of suspected kidnappers who abducted Esther Ojo , 2 – years- old from MFM regional Headquarters Agege on March 24, at 12:30 pm. The kidnappers, Nwaigbo Magnus and Sixtus Osunwoke Egwim, already demanded ransom from the parents of the baby and the church. The kidnappers continued to change the venue for the collection of ransom within Igando axis for over four hours until they were rounded up by the police.
Upon interrogation, the DPO followed up on available information and the baby was rescued from where she was hidden and reunited with her parents, Mr and Mrs Jame Oladipo Ojo. There was wild jubilation by the family of the little girl and other well-wishers.
” Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Zubairu Muazu has directed the deputy commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department ( SCIID) ,Panti ,Yaba , to investigate and bring other members of the syndicate to book .The suspects would soon be charged to Court.”
