Goal Hero Ogu ‘Proud’ Of Hapoel Beer-Sheva After Israeli Play-Offs Draw

Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu is pleased to score for Hapoel Beer-Sheva who were held to a 2-2 draw by Hapoel Haifa in Sunday’s Israeli Championship play-offs clash, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The goal was his first in six months for the club.
The 29-year-old Nigerian international last scored a goal for Hapoel Beer-Sheva in their 3-1 win over Hapoel Ra’annana on the 14th of October, 2017.
Ogu struck in the 79th minute of the game to make it 2-1 for Hapoel Beer-Sheva before an own goal from Ben Basat in the 90th minute nicked a point for the Camels from the game.
“Not the best game from us tonight but proud of the never give up from my team and fans. Happy to help my club with a goal. Thank you fans for the support. 6 More important games coming up,” Ogu wrote via his official Twitter account.
Despite the draw, Hapoel Beer-Sheva lead the Israeli Championship play-off round with seven points ahead of closest rivals Beiter Jerusalem who face Maccabi Tel Aviv later on Monday.
Hapoel Beer-Sheva face Maccabi Netanya away in their next game on Sunday.
