Goalkeeper trainer Alloy Agu hopeful of Super Eagles’ away win over Seychelles

Super Eagles Goalkeeper trainer, Alloy Agu said he is hopeful that Coach Gernot Rohr’s 24-man squad will do justice and get an away win over Seychelles in September.

 

Rohr on Friday named a formidable squad mixed with youths and experience as Nigeria hope to secure a maximum point after losing their opening fixture 2-0 to South Africa.

The team is expected to re-group next weekend for the first time after featuring at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where Nigeria crashed out in the group stages.

 

However, the former Super Eagles goalkeeper who is also the team’s Goalkeeper trainer has expressed his confidence in the team heading to Seychelles for the encounter slated for the 8th of September.

 

Agu speaking in a chat with Brila.net’s Yinka Oyedele says the 24 invited players would also have a level playing ground to impress for selection.

 

The former Goalkeeper stated that the coaching crew of the national team is looking forward to the fast-approaching AFCON 2019 qualifier against Seychelles and hope that invited players will perform to their optimum and get Nigeria’s qualification hopes back on track.

 

Nigeria Super Eagles will on Saturday, 8th September take on Seychelles in the Cameroon 2019 AFCON.
