Bordeaux number ten Samuel Kalu has trained normally with his teammates on Monday and is in line to return to the squad for the Europa League match against Zenit on Thursday.
According to reports in the French media, Kalu was omitted from the trip to Olympique Lyonnais three days ago due to a throat-related ailment.
News of Kalu’s return to training will be of delight to Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr who has named the forward in his team to take on South Africa later this month.
The 21-year-old winger who has been touted as the perfect replacement for the retired Victor Moses will now be available for the matches against South Africa at the Soccer City and Uganda three days later.
