Guardiola Confident, Rules Aguero Out Of Liverpool Clash

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has ruled out Sergio Aguero from his side to face Liverpool in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League first leg quarter-final clash at Anfield.
Aguero has been out with a knee injury he sustained last month but Guardiola suggests that the Argentine could return in time to face Manchester United this weekend in a derby.
“He (Aguero) is in Manchester. He didn’t come (to Liverpool). We’ll see (if he plays in the derby),” Guardiola said during his pre-match conference ahead the game against Liverpool.
“Sergio is much much better, but today the physios spoke to him and he said he still has a small problem and isn’t comfortable.”
Guardiola also hinted that Fabian Delph could be available for the clash against Liverpool.
Delph went out injured last time Manchester City visited Anfield and lost 4-3.
The former Bayern Munich and Barcelona manager also remained confident on his team’s chances ahead of the encounter.
“I know the way we play is perfect for Liverpool. They attack the space,” Guardiola.
“The people suggest what is going to happen tomorrow but I still have not lived it. Tomorrow after the game I can tell you what it was like.”
