How we killed our friend because of jealousy – suspect

A 28-year-old man, Ahmed Wahab, has confessed that he conspired with one Adegoke Ayo to kill their friend ,Oguntade Wasiu out of jealousy.
He said the deceased usually talked about his achievements to taunt them.
The suspect who claimed to be a Tailor, said he is also a commercial motorcycle rider at Modakeke in Osun State where he committed the crime.
He said:”Wasiu was a friend to Sodiq. I knew him through Sodiq, and he was into internet fraud. He had been into yahoo yahoo business before our friendship about a year ago.

“Ayo and I killed Wasiu ,because he always told us his achievements;about how much he was making from internet fraud, and he used to flaunt his successes. He would tell us how he opened a shop for his wife, bought expensive gold and many things for her . We became jealous of him and decided that we must do away with him.

“All his achievements used to grieve my heart and made me envious of him, couple with the fact that I am I also into internet fraud, but I have not made any money from the business.

“We killed him on August 8,2022. We lured him to a new site, because he came to me that he wanted to buy a piece of land. We took him to a bush in Modakeke. We really wanted to collect the money for the land and kill him.

“After he inspected the land. I was in front, Wasiu followed me, and Ayo was at his back. While we were going, Ayo held him at the jugular, while he was shouting, Ayo, hacked him with a marchete. He cut his head into two.

“I reported myself to the police station when the police called that they were suspecting me. Although, we had a plan that we will collect money from him before we arrived the site. But Ayo killed him,” he confessed.
