Ibe Scores As Bournemouth Edge Out West Brom; Everton, Palace Win

By James Agberebi:

Ten-man Stoke City’s fight against relegation suffered a big blow as they lost 2-1 at the Bet 365 Stadium in one of the four Premier League games on Saturday.

The highlight of the first half that saw both teams unable to break the deadlock was the sending off of Charlie Adams on 30 minutes for a dangerous foul on Wayne Rooney.

After being frustrated for most of the second half, Everton eventually got the opener on 69 minutes through Turkish striker Cenk Tosun, his third goal in three games.

Stoke got back into the game as Cameroonian international Maxim Choupo-Moting equalised in the 72nd minute.

But with six minutes left, Tosun scored what proved to be the winner.

The defeat leaves Stoke in the 19th position on 27 points, while Everton are now ninth on 40 points.

At the Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth compounded West Bromwich Albion’s relegation woes as they came from behind to win 2-1.

West Brom went into the game on the back of losing their last six league games and surprisingly went 1-0 up on 49 minutes thanks to Jay Rodriguez.

Former Liverpool forward Jordon Ibe drew Bournemouth level in the 77th minute and in the 89th minute, Junior Stanislas made it 2-1 for the home team.

West Brom remain bottom on 20 points and have now lost their seventh straight league game.

At the John Smiths Stadium, Crystal Palace moved out of the bottom three after beating Huddersfield Town 2-0.

A goal in each half from James Tomkins (23rd minute) and Luka Milivojevic (68th minute, penalty) secured the three vital points for Palace which lifted them to 16th on 30 points.

EPL results:

Bournemouth 2 – 1 West Brom

Huddersfield 0 – 2 Crystal Palace

Stoke 1 – 2 Everton
