Ifeanyi Ifeanyi hopes COVID-19 end soon, speaks about situation in Uzbekistan

Mash’al Mubarek midfielder Ifeanyi Ifeanyi has expressed optimism that the current pandemic rocking the global world will soon come to an end.

The former Akwa United player joined the Uzbekistan side earlier in the season.

 

The 24-year-old defender disclosed to brila.net’s Babafemi Raji that all in a telephone chat on Wednesday that the players and staff except three have all gone to meet with their families due to the coronavirus outbreak.

 

Ifeanyi told Raji in the interview that the Uzbekistan government is doing everything possible to curb the spread of the virus in the country.

 

The former CHAN Eagles player is obviously missing football action but the player seems very happy to remain at the club as the management allows the three players to train with the facilities.

 

“Everyone has traveled home, including staff and players,’ He said.

 

“We are only three players here and we train together every day depending on how we feel,’

 

“The good thing is I’ve been able to maintain my weight because of the training routine,’

 

The Super Eagles player is, however, optimistic that normalcy will soon return globally and the virus outbreak will be contained.
