Iheanacho targets first EPL start in 17 games against Watford

Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho will be hoping to make his first start in 17 English top-flight matches when Leicester entertain Watford in tonight’s Premier  League clash at the King Power Stadium.

Iheanacho made his first EPL appearance of the season against Everton on Sunday when he came off the bench to turn the game on its head for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

The Nigeria front-man delivered a memorable performance when he replaced Ayoze Perez in the 62nd minute to set up Jamie Vardy for the Foxes’ equalizer before coolly bending in the winner in the 94th minute.

The 23-year-old, however, last started an England top-flight game on December 8, 2018 when Leicester lost 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur at home.

He has made a total of 66 appearances for the Foxes, netting 13 goals in the process since his £25 million switch from Manchester City in the summer of 2017.
