Ike Shorunmu: Eagles deserves commendation for bright AFCON 2021 qualifiers start

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer Ike Shorunmu has stated that the Nigeria men national football team deserves commendation for a bright start to the AFCON 2021 qualifiers which seems to have affirmed more confidence in the team’s qualification quest.

Shorunmu speaking in a chat with brila.net said the game is changing and all that counts more now is the result of a game above any other criteria.
He argued that the talk of the team conceding goals shouldn’t take away the credit due them for scoring goals and winning games as well.
“The game now is changing and the trend too, now the fans want goals scored by their teams and again too the teams don’t like to concede.
“We need to give them  a little bit credit to the teams too because it’s not that easy for you to play a game of 90 minutes and not commit a mistake but the most important thing is that they are winning.”
