Former Super Eagles forward Victor Ikpeba has hailed the gritty performance of the Super Eagles in Friday night’s 1-0 win over home side Poland at the Stadion Miejski in Wrocław.
Victor Moses won a penalty and dusted himself up in the 61st minute to give Nigeria a win in their first preparatory game ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Ikpeba, 1997 African Footballer of the Year, wrote on his verified Twitter handle:
“Congratulations Super Eagles. Against a formidable Polish side, the boys gave their all to win.”
