Ilechukwu hails Ogunbote as the best in the Country

MFM Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu says his side lost to a better side managed by the best coach in the country in Sunday’s matchday 16 of the Nigeria Professional Football League fixture with Enugu Rangers on Sunday.

Inform Ivorian forward Seka Pascal scored the only goal of the game in the 36th minute as Rangers extends their unbeaten run in the league to 13 games.

While assessing the performance of his boys after the game,  Ilechukwu said the Flying Antelopes are a very good side and beating such a team will always be a difficult task.

“We lost to a very good side with the best coach [Gbenga Ogunbote] in the country. We did our best but it was not good enough. We shall go back to work on our weak points before our next game. We can still make it,” the MFM coach said.

MFM has 24 points from 16 games and are third in Group A behind Enyimba International and Rangers.

Lobi Stars are just one point behind in MFM in the fourth position after home draw with Enyimba.

In the next round of games, the Olukoya Boys will be hoping to return to winning ways as they host Rivers United at the Agege Stadium.
