I’m not afraid of losing my job – Musa Ibrahim

Following his side inability to hold on to their three goals advantage over Rangers International of Enugu in last Wednesday’s Aiteo Cup Final in Asaba Delta State, Head coach of Kano Pillars Ibrahim Musa said he’s not afraid of losing his job.

Sai Masu Gida up by three goals with less than thirty minutes to the end of the game, but Rangers scored three  goals to drag the game to penalty shootout and won 4-2 to snatch the elusive title from the reach of Pillars.

 

Musa said he’s still in shock with the outcome, but admits his players didn’t play according to the instructions during the half-time team talk.

 

“It was a very surprising results to us all because I told my players during half time break that they must not relax because football is not decided by the outcome of the first half.”

 

Musa, who according to reports is battling to save his job after the embarrassing loss, stressed further that injuries also affected his side.

“I was not happy when we started having injury issues and I will say it was among the reasons we lost,  We are disappointed by the outcome of the match because it was our desire to win the competition but we must take everything that comes our way as the will of Allah.”

 

Kano Pillars had since declared two weeks break for the players but insists only the players needed by the Club will be ask to return to the pre season camp.
