Nasarawa United Captain Emmanuel Makama, Says he’s not shocked by the decision of Coach Kabir Dogo to leave the NPFL side after the expiration of his contract, Oluwaseyi Alao reports for www.Brila.net
Kabir Dogo, made the headlines on Tuesday after he opted against contract renewal with the Club he spent five productive season with, the decision which caught the fans of the Club by surprise and left them in limbo.
However, one of his trusted army at the Club, Makama, Said he’s not surprised by the former ABS of Ilorin boss’ decision to quit the Solid Miners.
“I’m not shocked that he left, because the Coach is like a father to me, we discussed a lot of things and he already told me some time ago that he will leave the Club but it’s painful that we won’t be working with him come next season,” Makama told www. Brila.net.
The left-back, stressed further, saying the Club will miss the service of Dogo because not every coach can bring up players from the academy to the main team.
“The people of Nasarawa state will miss him because of his contributions to youths development in the state. Dogo is a manager that believes in young players and he encourages them a lot. The records of the players he brought to limelight are there for everyone for everyone to see, he’s a blessing to any team he will join”.
Meanwhile, Makama said the Club will find a suited replacement that will continue with good foundation Dogo has laid down.
