Umar Abdulmali, an explosives expert, specialised in armed robbery, assassination and the mastermind of Kuje and Nya Nya, Abuja, bombing Of 2015 that claimed many lives.

He was also responsible for the Galadimawa Roundabout attack that led to the killing seven police officers, killings of officers at Lugbe, and Gwagwalada area of Abuja.

The police said he was also the overall commander Of Edo and Ondo States, multiple Bank robberies and several killings in Okene axis of Kogi. He was the grand commander Of the attack on prisons in Niger State and the rescue of inmates early this year.


He lost, one of his eyes during the operation but he Abdulmalik, of over 100 prisoners including those serving capital punishments. The suspect was arrested by IRT today after he escaped with bullet wounds from Abuja three weeks ago.

IRT operatives had engaged his gang in a gun duel, he managed to escape but four of his gang members were arrested and four AK47 rifles and hundreds Of ammunition were recovered from the scene.
Commander IRT, DCP was quoted as telling his men that: ” Today is one of my happiest days in Life”.
As at press time, there was wild jubilation at IRT commands all over the country as they were rejoicing over the arrest of a man who was declared wanted since 2015 and had remained elusive until the arms of the law caught up with him.


In a telephone conversation with Kyari, he said: “Yes, there is a massive celebration as the person responsible for hundreds of death of Innocent citizens and police officers across the nation has been apprehended. I give kudos to Nigeria Police Force, to IGP Ibrahim Idris, and IRT”.


Another police officer who spoke on the condition of anonymity as he was not supposed to speak to the press, said: ” The deadliest Boko Haram gang leader, Umar Abdumalik, has been arrested and he has been offered as a Christmas gift to Nigerians.

The blood of hundreds of people, including policemen had been crying for vengeance. Today, the souls of those he sent to their early graves will now rest in peace. We are happy that the man who people claimed was invisible has been demystified by IRT. We are rejoicing because the family of those he killed will be happy too”.
