Isaac Success’ goal lifts Watford into Carabao Cup third round

Super Eagles forward Isaac Success ended his 22 months goal drought for Watford after hitting the back of the net for Watford, in a 2-0 victory over Reading.

 

A true pass from Adam Masina in the 36th minute put Success through on goal and the striker dribbled past the goalkeeper Sam Walker before stroking the ball into an empty net for the opening and only goal in the first half.

 

Domingos Quina hit a 25-yard shot in the 62nd minute to wrap up the win for Javi Gracia’s men who now progress to the third round of the competition.

 

For Flying Eagles striker Isaac Success, he last scored for Watford in a game against Bournemouth in an English Premier League tie on October 1, 2016

 

The former Granada Fc of Spain forward has struggled with fitness and disciplinary issues and was sent out on an unsuccessful loan to Malaga last season.

 

Success 22′ has been appearing as late a second-half substitute for the Hornets in their three league matches so far this season as he steps up his recovery to top form.
