Italian Serie A not good for young players – Okonkwo

Former Golden Eaglets player who is currently sent on loan to the MLS from Italian side Bologna ORJI OKONKWO has said it’s pretty difficult for young lads to thrive in Italy.

Okwonkwo, 21, scored three goals in 27 Serie A appearances (four starts) with Bologna since joining the team in 2016.

In a chat with Sports247, Okonkwo stated that Italian football is tough especially for young players to thrive.

In 2015, Okwonkwo played for the Nigerian team that won the U17 World Cup. He appeared in five matches and scored one goal.
