Itoya unfazed by Rangers loss to Insurance

Rangers International of Enugu forward, Kelvin Itoya has stated that his side is still on course to conquer other teams in the league despite the 2-1 loss to Bendel Insurance on Thursday.

Itoya told brila.net that they gave all they could and were very much in the game although admitted that the red card his side suffered took its toll on the team at some point in the match.
“We are still the same Rangers and we are still on top. We will take some lessons home and return to our usual winning ways. Truth is that the red card Seka received earlier in the game had a little effect on us at some point”, he stated.
Rangers were reduced to 10 men after Seka Pascal was shown a straight red card for kicking an opponent. Junior Osaige netted for Insurance in the 30th minute before Kelvin Itoya leveled up for Rangers eight minutes later.
The insurance goal needed by the Benin City outfit was scored in the 52nd minute through Stephen Sodje.
