It’s been a good season despite relegation battle, says Aiyenugba

Hapoel Iksal of Israel and Nigerian goalkeeper, Dele Aiyenugba has described his outing this season as a good one for him, even as his team are bottom of the Israeli Leumut League, and looking to gain promotion via the playoffs.

Iksal are currently bottom of the Leumut league, with 26 points form 27 matches, amassing 7 wins, 5 draws and 15 losses.

Speaking with www.brila.net, Aiyenugba backed his side to remain in the second division in the coming season.

“Things have been great here, I’m having a great season and I believe we will get better as we are still a very small club”

“Our finishing has not been too good, but we keep fighting, we just need somethings to change, especially upfront”

“Our finishing is not too good but it will be okay, I know and trust that the players we have will do their best to ensure we get better and make the playoffs to have a chance of promotion to the Lighat Gaal”, he concluded.

Aiyenugba has lined out 27 times this season for Iksal, and will be looking to retain his place between the sticks for Maccabi Ahi Nazareth.
