Iwobi “Emotional” As Arsenal Send Wenger Off With Huddersfield Win

Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi is elated to see Arsenal end their season on a winning note following Sunday’s 2-1 Premier League win against Huddersfield Town,
Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted the winning goal in the 38th minute, the Gunners’ first away points in 2018.

The game was Arsene Wenger’s last game in charge of the North London side following a 22-year tenure with the club.

Arsenal finished in sixth position in the table, their worst of Wenger’s  reign.

“Good To End The Season With A Win! Emotional Knowing It’s The Boss’s Last Match, Was Only Right It Was A Win. Love To Our Fans For All Your Support This Season ,” Iwobi tweeted after the game.

Iwobi was on from start in the game and was replaced by Maitland -Niles in the 72nd minute.

The 22-year-old Nigerian made 26 league appearances for the Gunners this season and hit the back of the net three times.
