Former Super Eagles goalkeeper and former Eagles assistant coach, Joe Erico has outlined his recipe for success for the senior national team, the Eagles if they are to do well at the forthcoming AFCON.
Nigeria have been missing from the continental football fiesta for the last two editions but qualified with a game to spare, and many are tipping the Eagles to at least get to the quarterfinals or semis this year.
Speaking with www.brila.net, the man known also as the Jogo bonito Exponent also called on the defense as well as the attack to improve but rated the midfield of the present team as being okay.
“I wouldn’t say am confident that they will go all the way to win in the tournament”
“There’s no more opportunity to experiment but I must say they need quickness in front of goal, they also have to be careful in the defense, the midfield is good, also the attack needs improvement as well”.
“They also need to be clinical in front of goal, at least if they have three chances, they should take two or one”.
With the likes of Ahmed Musa, Odion Ighalo and Alex Iwobi, Nigeria will be looking to make their mark in Egypt during the AFCON”.
