Former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, is not happy with the situation of Henry Onyekuru with Monaco and has urged him to quit Ligue 1 club as some as possible.
Onyekuru, signed for the former French Champions after his impressive loan spell with Turkish side Galatasary last season where he scored several goals to help the Club to a league and cup success.
However Yobo regreat the failure of player to make an official appearance for Everton, the Club that signed him from Belgian side Eupen.
“It was sad he (Onyekuru) couldn’t find a chance to play in Everton,” Yobo, said.
“He is a great talent. His failure to secure a work permit didn’t allow him to play for Everton. The English Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world, but it can be a big disadvantage when you don’t play.
Yobo then advised the 22 year old to bring an end to his Monaco’s nightmare in January transfer.
“His performance for Galatasaray last season was exceptional and I expect him to do that with the national team.
“His time in Monaco has not been good and leaving the club is the best option for him.”
Onyekuru, 22, scored 14 goals in 31 appearances during his one-year loan spell with Galatasaray last season and is eager to make a return to the Turkish outfit.
