Kano Pillars can cope without key players – Musa Ibrahim

Kano Pillars head coach Musa Ibrahim has reaffirmed that the his team has enough depth to cope with the absence of some key players .

The Sai Masu Gida with be without the service of Last season top scorer Junior Lokosa as he had secured a move to Esperance of Tunisia while his strike partner Nyima Nwagua was said to be in Vietnam for trial, a situation which many believes will affect the team in front of goal.

However , the coach said apart from Lokosa and Nwagua , five of his players will also be away for Nation at the Africa youth Championships in Niger, as they are part of Coach Paul Aigbogun’s team.

We will be without five of our first team players in the next couple of weeks as Junior Lokosa and Nyima Nwagua are currently not in the country with the trio of Alhassan Ibrahim, Jamil Mohammed Jamal and Yahaha Nazifi will represent the Nation at the Africa Youth Championships in Niger, we have quality players that will definitely get the job done for us because Kano Pillars is not built around any individual as the game of football is a team and not an individual sports, Jugunu as he is fondly called by is admirers concluded”.

During the off season Kano Pillars brought in Suraj Ayeleso (Kano Pillars), Bature Yaro (Plateau United), Sunday Chinedu Chukwu (Kwara United), Ayaya (Supreme Court), Shammah Tanze (Wikki Tourists) and HIFL kid sensation Odenigbo Ebuka David to strengthen the squad .
