Kanu tips Ajax for Champions League Success

Nwankwo Kanu, the legendary Nigerian former skipper who was also one of the star performers in Ajax Amsterdam last European success in 1995 has predicted a tough quarterfinal clash for his former club.

He told Cornerstonenewsng.comof his excitement seeing Ajax in European quarterfinal again. “It’s a great achievement for them to be in this stage”, Kanu remarked.


He, however, predicted a hard and difficult game for their opposition. “I know it will not be easy for the Old ladies”.


The former Arsenal and Inter Milan star spoke with his former International teammate Ifeanyi Udeze, and he has wished his former side victory.


‘I think if they play the way they played against Real Madrid, they will go through into the next round’, Kanu told brila.net.


Kanu was a member of the AJAX team that won the 1995 UEFA Champions League title.
