Lack of concentration cost Eagles against Togo – Udoh

Captain of Nigeria’s home based Super Eagles team Mfon Udoh has stated that too many mistakes and lack of concentration cost the team in Sunday’s 4-1 defeat to Togo in the first leg of the CHAN 2020 qualifiers at the Stade de Kegue in Togo.

Udoh speaking in a chat with brila.net said the deed has been done and that there is still a second leg and enough time for the team to overturn the deficit in the return fixture next month.
“we were very unfortunate to loss,  we didn’t play according to the instructions of the coaches, too many mistakes and lack of concentration but the deeds has already been done. We have enough time to correct all our errors.”
He thereafter assured Nigerians that the team will fight back like wounded lions to regain Nigeria’s pride of place in African football.
“We have been wounded, bruised and back are against the wall but we’ll fight back like wounded lions and regain our pride, the pride of African football.”
