Lack of good goalkeepers in the Super Eagles not a crisis – Shorunmu

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Ike Shoronmu believes Nigeria’s recent struggle to produce top notched goalkeepers is not a crisis.

 

Since the exit of Vicent Enyeama and Carl Ikeme, Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr has tried Francis Uzoho, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Daniel Akpeyi, before the latest addition Maduka Okoye who made his debut in 1-1 with Brazil, but, none of the goalkeepers have been able to made the position their own.

 

The former Besiktas of Turkey safe hand in an exclusive interview with www brila.net’s Seyi Alao, said Nigeria is passing through a process where it’s kind of difficult to find a reliable hands, and believed with time , things will be normal again.

 

“Everything is time , things has changed really to the other side and I hope as time goes on , the good time will come around again.”

 

“We are  passing through a process now , that is why we are missing a lot of qualities .”

 

“But saying there are not good hands , it’s not a one day thing, it’s matter of time we that people are celebrating now started from somewhere”.

 

“We needs to be patient with the coaching crew and hopefully, they can find the right hands”. He said.
