Larry Ekundayo retains IBF title

Nigerian Boxer Larry Ekundayo successfully defended his International Boxing Federation (IBF) European title against Louise Green at York Hall, London last weekend.

Ekundayo handed Louis Greene his first defeat by a unanimous decision with the judges’ decisions at 100-89, 98-91, and 99-90 in favor of the Nigerian.

 

Ekundayo, however, thanked his fans for the support and love they shown towards him.

 

“Gratitude is my attitude! I want to say a huge thank you to everyone that came out to support me last night, that tuned in on Boxnation, online and all the well wishes. Special thanks to my team. Big thank you to all my sponsors, massive love for the amazing support last night.”

 

Louis Greene, on his part, said he will be back challenging once more in the future.

 

“Everyone who watched I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the support it wasn’t my night, I’ll be back, all the best to Larry, what a gent with a real heartwarming story behind his career, thanks again for all the support now to rest with my wife and children love you all.”
