The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has expelled 45 students over alleged involvement in examination malpractices.
The list of the affected students was contained in the report of the university’s senate after it’s sitting on February 20. The school, yesterday forwarded the details of the affected students to all the school’s electronic mail transmission system.

The senate’s decision followed recommendations of the Examination Malpractices Panel and the Student Disciplinary Committee. The affected students cut across departments including Architecture, Civil Engineering, Medical Lab Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
Details of the report, however, showed that only two of the students, Oyedokun Ridwan Oyeniyi, of the department of Agric Engineering who was exonerated by the committee and Agboola Oluwakemi Felicia, discharged for want of evidence.
Meanwhile, 45 students were expelled with effect from Harmattan Semester of 2018/2019 academic session, while five students bagged four semesters suspension and two graduates, Akintunde Olawale, and Ibitoye Ahmed, had their certificates withdrawn.
