Levante UD New boy Moses Simon sends ‘thank you’ message to KAA Gent

Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has sent emotional thank you message to his former Belgian Jupiler club KAA Gent following his transfer to La Liga side, Levante.

Moses joined Spanish La Liga side UD Levante on Monday on a deal that worth ¢4.50m for five years.

Simon joined the Belgium side in 2015 after spending a season with Slovakia league side Trencin.

“I want to say BIG THANK YOU to all the technical staff, medical staff, my teammates and fans of KAA Gent for everything for these past years.

‘You all have been wonderful, word cannot tell how much I appreciate you all but it’s time to move on to the next chapter.

“One thing I know is you all have special place in my heart. #OnceaBuffaloAlwaysAbuffalo#,” he wrote on his social media account.

The 23-year-old becomes the second Nigerian to leave Yves Vanderhaeghe’s squad this summer after compatriot Samuel Kalu moved to French Ligue 1 club Bordeaux on Monday.

The winger moved to Slovak top-flight side AS Trencin in 2014 and scored 13 goals in 33 games before joining Gent in 2016.
