Lobi stars defender Ebube Duru has rued his side’s CAF champions league elimination following the club’s 3-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa in group A game number 5 to render the last home fixture against Asec Mimosas an inconsequential fixture I’m terms of group stage qualification.
Duru speaking in a chat with www.Cornerstonenewsng.comsaid the defeat was painful and hard to swallow but stressed that it was still not a terrible outing for Lobi stars who made the group stage of the competition considering how NPFL clubs have struggled in recent times to make it that far and said the team’s focus now will be to work hard enough in the league so as to make a return to Africa’s premier club competition.
