Lobi stars defender Ebube Duru has stated that the Makurdi based club will look forward to consolidate on the lead established already after finishing the first stanza of the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League as leaders following Sunday’s 2-1 win over Wikki Tourist which allowed Lobi leapfrogged Plateau united to number one on the log.
Duru speaking in a chat with www.Cornerstonenewsng.comdescribed the current campaign as one that has gone according to script for the team and stressed that the second stanza is now time for the team to work even harder to ensure they keep the lead till the end of the league.
“It’s been a great one for us because after our first match against Plateau united, we spoke to ourselves that we want to make sure before the end of the first round, we must be in that first or second position and thank God after the victory against Wikki, we are on first position.
And before the second stanza start, we want to work hard because we want to maintain that position to the end of the season.”
