Lokosa Beats Ndidi, Moses To March Complete Sports Player Of The Month Award

Kano Pillars striker Junior Lokosa has been voted Complete Sports Player of the Month for March.

The prolific striker narrowly beat Super Eagles and Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and Chlsea star Victor Moses to the award.

Lokosa, who is in line to break the Nigeria Professional Football League goals record of 23, received 38 per cent of the votes from Completesportsnigeria.com users and Twitter followers. Ndidi got 33 per cent of the votes, while Moses received 29 per cent.

Lokosa has continued to surprise everyone with his goalscoring exploits for Kano Pillars in the current Nigeria Professional Football League season.

So far, he is the NPFL leading scorer with 14 goals.

Lokosa was also shortlisted for the Complete Sports Player of the Month award for February.

Lokosa continued his scoring feat for Pillars in their 2-0 home win against Go Round in the NPFL on March 4, netting the second goal.

In Pillars’ away clash against Yobe Desert Stars in a league encounter on March 11, Lokosa fired blanks as his side lost 2-0.

Lokosa returned to banging in the goals as Pillars forced Niger Tornadoes to a 1-1 home draw in the league on March 19.

After trailing for most of the game, it was Lokosa’s late equaliser that salvaged a point for Pillars.

And away to Kwara United on March 25 in another league tie, Lokosa scored Pillars’ goal but they went on to lose 2-1.

In four games for Pillars in March, Lokosa found the back of the net three times to maintain his leadership of the top scorers chart.
