Winger Sadiq Abubakar is doubtful for Nigeria’s second-leg African Nations Championship (CHAN) playoff clash against Ghana this Saturday.
Abubakar picked a knock in the first leg at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in Ghana last Sunday.
FL gathered the 25 year-old will be assessed by the B Eagles medical crew ahead of the game billed for Abuja on Saturday.
Providing the update on his team’s readiness for the crunch game, Eagles head Coach Salisu Yusuf stated the team was preparing hard.
“The doctors will assess Sadiq to see if he can play in the game, but we will also look at other options and work out a strategy that will give us victory,” Salisu said.
The B Eagles trail their Ghanaian opponents 2-0 from the first-leg and need an aggregate win to be guaranteed a place in the 2023 CHAN.
