Former player and coach of Abia warriors, Henry Makinwa has expressed concerns over the bad pitch at their home ground in Umuahia.

The former ABS coach revealed to brila.net that the pitch of the Umuahia Township Stadium has been a major setback for his team and visiting teams alike.
” We keep getting complaints about the turf from players and when teams come to play but I think the management is doing the best to find a lasting solution to the problem.”
Asked what he has done in his position as coach to hasten a positive decision on the to change the disfigurement of the pitch, Makinwa said it was not within his ascendancy.
“People have suggested we move from the Umuahia Stadium to some other turf but that is not my jurisdiction and it’s not on me. I think the management would have to take a bold decision on that.”
Makinwa’s next game will be against Delta Force at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
