A bricklayer, Oliver, 40 have been arrested for allegedly defiling a seven- year -old -girl in Ubulu – Uku, Aniocha – South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The suspect who hails from one of the Eastern States defiled the minor in Idumu-Osume, Quarters, where the victim lives.
The victim ,Faith , alleged that Oliver invited her to his house , pretending that he wanted her to assist him to go for an errand to a nearby shop .
According to her, on getting to the doorway of his house, Oliver dragged her into his room and defiled her.
The victim’s mother, Mrs. Chinweokwu said she went for the funeral of a relative in a nearby quarter, where she received a message that her child has been raped.
“My daughter who was in tears told me to see what uncle Oliver did to her “.
Meanwhile, police have visited the scene and have collected the medical result conducted on the girl.
