A tenant has killed his landlord and dumped his body inside a well in his compound at the Iba area of Lagos. The tenant after killing the man stole his car. Already, the Police have arrested the tenant and his accomplice.

Lagos State police public relations officer (PPRO), DSP Bala Elkana said:

” Two Suspects who murdered their Landlord and robbed him of his vehicle have been arrested by the police. “

On July 24, at about 5.00am, Policemen from Iba Police Station, on Stop and search duty at First Gate, Agboroko area, Iba, flagged down a driver of a Toyota Camry which was being driven recklessly. When the vehicle stopped, the two occupants in the car, Daniel Isaac and Emmanuel Chukwu were questioned but they could not give a reasonable answer on their destination.

The police decided to probe further and investigation revealed that the first suspect, Daniel Isaac, killed his Landlord, Don Able, 50, from Rivers State and dumped his body in a well, inside his compound at Owodun street Area, of Ikotun. The suspects were escaping with the deceased vehicle.

They confessed to the Commission of the Crime. “Homicide detectives from State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department Yaba ( SCIID) are investigating the case. The suspects will be charged to Court. In a related development, on July 24, at about 11.15am, Satellite Police Station received information from a credible source, that a bag containing suspicious item was smuggled into a motor park for onward transfer to Onitsha, Anambra state by unknown persons.

“Based on the information, the divisional police officer, (DPO) CSP Chike Oti, deployed his surveillance team to the motor park at Maza Maza area of Mile 2 to recover the bag. When the bag was searched, 50 rounds of .38mm live ammunition hidden inside a garri dust was recovered. A female who claimed that the bag was given to her by a man in Ojo area to deliver to someone at Onisha was arrested and she is helping the police with useful information. The case has been transferred to SARS for further investigation”,

Elkana said.
