Mikel and Ighalo retirement will pave way for younger players, says Fuludu

Delta state FA Chairman Edema Fuludu has reacted to the news of the retirement of Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi and forward Odion Ighalo from International football shortly after winning the bronze medal at the ongoing AFCON.

According to him,15 years effort from Mikel to the National is massive and same goes for Ighalo.

Fuludu in an exclusive chat told brila.net that, it’s good they kissed the exit button now and concentrate on club football because in football if you don’t leave, it will leave you.

”I think this will pave way for the young players in the team to have enough time to express themselves, this is the right time for Oshimen and Chukwueze to be fully infused in the team. ” Fuludu concluded.
