Moise Kean has scored four goals for Juventus this season he also got his first international goal in his second cap with Italy as they began their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with a comfortable victory over Finland, something he owes to working hard and learning from his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I learn from Cristiano Ronaldo, in training, I steal his secrets, I always try to be ready and train regularly so that I’m prepared when the time comes,” Kean said.
Although born in Italy, Kean was eligible to play for both Italy and Ivory Coast senior national teams, as his father is from the latter country. He has represented Italy at all levels.
Regarded as one of Italian football’s most promising prospects, Kean became the sixth-youngest player to figure in Europe’s premier club competition. Former Chelsea and Nigeria defender Celestine Babayaro is the youngest player to have ever featured in the Champions League. He was 16 years and 87 days old when he played for Anderlecht in 1994.
His goal against Finland made him the second youngest Italian to score for the national side after former Juventus player Bruno Nicole in 1958 against France, aged 18 years and 258 days, but Kean doesn’t want to stop there, he says “I still have so many records to beat and I intend to beat them.”
The first player born this century to start in Serie A, the first to score in the Italian top flight, and the first to make his debut with the Under 21 team, Kean was also the first to play with the senior national team in a friendly match and now a competitive game.
