Moses Simon fires blank in Nantes loss to Bordeaux

Super Eagles forward Moses Simon was on parade for his French club, FC Nantes but was unable to prevent them from going  down to 2-0 away defeat against Bordeaux.

Fresh from scoring hat trick in Nantes’ 8-0 bashing of Paris FC in Coup de la Ligue last Wednesday, Simon was on the pitch for the entire duration of the game.

However, Francois Kamano and Ui-Jo Hwangscored in the 37th minute and 57th minute respectively to condemn Christan Gourcuff’s side to their fifth loss of the season.

Simon, who is on loan at Nantes from Spanish outfit, Levante has hit the back of the net twice in 10 league games for the club.

For Bordeaux, Josh Maja played for six minutes, while Samuel Kalu was benched throughout the game.

Simon and Samuel Kalu were called up by Super Eagles gaffer Gernot Rohr for the 2021 AFCON qualifiers against the Squirrels of Benin and Lesotho.
