Most wanted notorious cultist in Lagos, Oyelesi Diri, has been arrested by the Police. Diri, 20, was arrested for multiple murder, armed robbery and cult activities by the anti cultism section of the Lagos State Police Command. He has been on the police wanted list for over a period of time.
A police source said Diri had been terrorising the people of Gbagada and Oworoshoki areas of the state. He was nabbed when operatives of the squad, acting on a tip-off stormed the hideout of Eiye Confraternity, a cult group, in Oworosoki area of the state. A police source said the suspect allegedly confessed that he killed his first victim for the role he ( victim) played in the death of his brother, a cultist from another cult group.
Diri was quoted by the police to have confessed that since he joined the cult group in 2014, he has not benefited, rather, he incurred curses as he was more involved in crimes; rape, killings, robbery, and drugs
