Musa denies testing positive for Covid-19

Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa has denied the news making rounds that he or member of his family tested positive for Coronavirus.

Football and other social gatherings in Saudi Arabia have been suspended indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the player then decided to return the country after spending weeks in lockdown.

 

 

Musa, his family, and national teammate John Ogu flown into the country from Saudi Arabia last week and currently observing the 14 days compulsory isolation rule.

 

 

However, a few days after their arrival, news circulated in some sections of the media had it that the pacy winger and his family tested positive for the deadly virus.

 

 

The former Leicester City and CS Moscow winger have now been prompted to debunk the news through his social media handle and also tagged it as fake news.

 

 

“Pls ignore any false news about me or 𝐌𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥y testing positive to COVID 19. We are self-isolating for 14 days as we just got in from Saudi Arabia as the law stipulates. Stay safe! Maintain social distance. AVOID FAKE NEWS! 🙏”. He said in a tweet.
