Musa Talks Tough Ahead Of Lesotho Match

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has declared that the team will do enough to defeat Lesotho in their home when the two teams face off in a 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture on Sunday.

The three-time African champions got their qualifying campaign off to a good start when they came from a goal down to beat Benin 2-1 on Wednesday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium while the Crocodiles grabbed a 1-1 away draw against Serria Leone on the same day.

Musa made a return to the team after his recovery from injury with his cameo appearance in the opening game against Benin.

The Al Nassr forward is, however, confident that Nigeria has what it takes to grab maximum points in Maseru.

“Our target is to make it to Cameroon and it is a good thing that we started well with a win against Benin,”

“Lesotho are not one of the biggest names in world football, but we won’t take them for granted. They will enjoy the support of their home fans and be pumped up to beat us.

“We have what it takes to beat them and will go all out to maintain the top position in the group.”

The Super Eagles match against the Crocodiles is billed for tomorrow at the Maseru Stadium from 5 pm Nigerian time.
