Former Super Eagles player Mutiu Adepoju has stated that as much as there are not many things to worry about ahead of the 2019 AFCON in Egypt, quality of preparation and form of the players before the tournament are still things that can’t be ignored ahead of Nigeria’s AFCON campaign.
Adepoju speaking in a chat with www.brila.net on the Eagles AFCON chances said the team is strong and wouldn’t have any problem so far they take every opponent seriously but the preparation and form of the players will be key which he hopes the players will keep ahead of the competition coming at the end of the season.
“We don’t have anything to worry about so far we take our opponent seriously and see everyone as the same. The only source of worry will be how well the team is prepared and the form of the players before the Nations Cup.”
Nigeria are housed in the same group with Guinea, debutant duo of Madagascar and Burundi.
