National teams Employment hinge on return of normalcy – Akinwumi

First Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation Barrister Seyi Akinwumi has stated that the employment of coaches into the various national teams of Nigeria is hinged on the return of normalcy in the national life and urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the eventual return of a strong and better economy.

Akinwumi speaking in a chat with  brila.net said the direction now is hoping to get back better on our feet as a nation as well as a football Federation after which the Federation will now visit the plans on ground as to filling the roles of national team coaches and executing other programs of the Federation.
“What we need to do is to pray for all Nigerians irrespective of who or whether they like football or not and the world really.
“You just cannot fathom how far it will go. You know it’s very difficult to start thinking about employing anybody when you don’t even know when you’re going to play football, you don’t even know where the money will come from.
“It is very difficult, it’s a tough call at this time. It’s all premised upon getting back on our feet.”
